Employee Support

We offer 1:1 therapy sessions and workplace assessments, which are funded by the employer.

We can work with just one employee in an organsiation or as many as require our support.

Our team are experienced, supportive, compassionate and client-centred occupational therapists. Therapy sessions aim to support, help and guide clients towards solutions to the difficulties they are experiencing.

Unlike many EAP services, for therapy, we do not specify a number of sessions or dictate a limit. Sessions are usually weekly to begin with and are for 50 minutes. We offer online and in-person (Leicester) sessions.

We provide flexible plans that can be tailored to the individual and support employees who may be in work, absent or returning to work. There are no big contracts and you only pay for the sessions that are used.

Occupational Therapy Sessions

Occupational therapy is a health profession that takes a whole-person approach to both mental and physical health and wellbeing.

Occupational therapists provide practical support to empower people to facilitate recovery and overcome barriers preventing them from doing the activities (or occupations) that matter to them.

Our team are experienced, supportive, compassionate and person-centred occupational therapists, who are also trained in psychological therapies. Therapy sessions aim to support, help and guide clients towards solutions to the difficulties they are experiencing.

Therapy is based on the here and now and clients are empowered to develop strategies for better mental health and wellbeing. Our therapists spend time getting to know each person well so they feel heard, valued and not judged and can work in partnership together.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a comprehensive psychotherapy that helps a person process and recover from past experiences that are affecting their mental health and wellbeing.

It involves using side to side eye movements combined with talk therapy in a specific and structured format.

EMDR helps a person process the negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations associated with traumatic memories that seem to be stuck. These can contribute to a range of mental health problems.

EMDR was developed as a therapy for treating trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), though it can be used to help with a range of mental health difficulties including: anxiety, depression, addictions, behavioural difficulties, relationship issues and more serious mental illnesses such as psychosis and personality disorders.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a talking therapy and is based on the concept that there is a relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Clients and their therapist will explore how their thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect their feelings and behaviuor, and vice versa.

It is based on the belief that how we think about situations can affect how we feel and how we then behave in these situations.

CBT therapy can support and help people to change the vicious cycles they find themselves in, so that people can change and alter the way they think, feel and behave. The outcome being that people feel more positive, and experience improved emotional well-being.

CBT is an evidence-based therapy and has demonstrated being effective and helpful for symptoms of: depression and anxiety disorders including generalised anxiety, panic, health anxiety, phobias, OCD, PTSD and low self-esteem.

Organisations are encouraged to contact us for a no-cost phone consultation to discuss potential employee referrals. We offer a flexible approach to days and times for therapy sessions, including evenings, with no set amount of sessions prescribed.
