BSc (Hons) Psychology
MSc Occupational Therapy
I work with individuals across the lifespan presenting with a range of mental health challenges and am a strong advocate of destigmatising all things mental health, meaning we can have more open and transparent conversations about the day to day challenges we face in life.
I am particularly passionate about working with young people who may experience difficulties with emotion regulation and low self-esteem and those who may experience attachment difficulties as a result of early developmental trauma. I enjoy supporting young people to learn the skills they need to thrive later in life and working with those around the young person in order to set them up for success.
I work in a compassion-focused way and create a safe space for individuals to share the challenges they may be facing and ensure to work collaboratively with clients to explore these together. My dual training of Psychology and Occupational Therapy gives me a good balance of understanding the ‘why’ and talking through problems in the traditional sense whilst also understanding the importance of clients having meaningful occupations and activities in their lives to enhance their wellbeing and sense of self.
I love working with children and young people through playful and creative means and will always have a bag of fidget toys and games with me in sessions!
When I am not at working I enjoy travelling around the UK with my rescue dog Nellie, spending time with friends and family and singing at local open mic events. I also love to bake and set up my own small bakery business during lockdown.
