Rebecca Woods
Occupational Therapist
I am an Occupational Therapist specialising in mental health and qualified in 2005.
During my career, I have worked in a variety of frontline NHS mental health settings and within University Student Services.
At Wellbeing Therapy Solutions, I have supported clients aged 20 & above experiencing a variety of mental health challenges.
Everyone has mental health and I enjoy working in partnership with others to identify solutions and strategies for improving wellbeing. I feel particularly strongly about empowering people to address the potential barriers that mental health struggles can create in relation to our roles, routines & activities.
When not working at Wellbeing Therapy Solutions, I support university students in receipt of Disabled Students Allowance as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor. As part of this role, I have undertaken additional training, including support strategies for people with ADHD and transgender awareness & understanding.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and am fascinated by the multiple ways having a connection to nature benefits our physical and mental wellbeing.
I originally trained in Ceramic & Glass Design and still enjoy taking part in creative activities whenever possible, as well as watching the Great Pottery Throw Down (and find it very moving when Keith Brymer Jones gets emotional!)
