With regards to EMDR, this is an evidence based treatment for trauma that helps a client to process and recover from past experiences that might be affecting their psychological wellbeing.

I love working with clients to help improve their psychological wellbeing and independence and feel passionately that whether a client requests CBT or Occupational Therapy, I can offer a supportive environment, that is client centred, collaborative, holistic, flexible and compassionate to enable you to improve your wellbeing by making meaningful changes and to achieve your goals

Lucy Routledge – Occupational Therapist

I’m an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist, currently splitting my time between private practice and working within a specialist NHS eating disorder service. I have extensive experience working with children and young people and have a particular passion for supporting those experiencing anxiety, low confidence, emotional regulation difficulties and challenges associated with neurodivergence. My background is in psychology and I am currently undertaking postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), further developing my psychological and therapeutic skills alongside my occupational therapy practice.

I take a warm, person-centred and strengths-based approach, working collaboratively with young people and their families. I work from a psychotherapeutic lens within my occupational therapy practice, combining psychological understanding with practical strategies to support overall wellbeing and participation in everyday life. I believe in celebrating each child’s individuality and uniqueness, helping them to understand and value their strengths while developing strategies that work for them. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where young people feel heard, understood and empowered to develop a greater understanding of themselves.

I currently have availability for new clients Thursday daytime or Wednesday evenings.
